Shot this last year in Leeds, UK -- this is the
Corn Exchange building. It's no longer a retail outlet; today it's a restaurant. Yes, the whole damn thing. They were going to lease it out to multiple customers, but they could only find one. So until they find more, the whole thing belongs to one guy. Must feel like eating in a stadium!

>My good friend Josh, from when he came back to Lincoln last winter -- here's to hoping you make it back again this year, bro!

Shot from atop a mountain in Vermont -- we kept waiting for the cold clouds to stop rolling through until we realized we just needed to descend a bit to get below the cloud deck. Click to enlarge.

This is a good example of a photo that I never would have taken before I started marketing stock photography. This is the kind of silly thing that sells, for some reason.

This was shot in upstate New York -- just south of Plattsburgh, I believe, or wherever the ferry from Vermont drops you off. Quite a beautiful view just at sunrise. Click to enlarge.
I just noticed (via that deluge of comments) that my other blog,
The Big Storm Picture was selected by Google as today's Blog of Note. Thanks, Google!

Our friend Keith shows my wife Derwent Water in Cumbria, UK. This was an excellent overlook, even if it was a bit of a blustery and stormy day. England is a country of surprisingly diverse landscapes, considering its compact size. My wife will probably kill me for posting a wide angle photo with her at the edge of the frame. ;) Click to enlarge.

To be honest, I have no idea what I like so much about this shot. I took it in Vermont at a Cider House -- there was just something about the sheet-metal against the sky that caught my eye. Click to enlarge.

My friend Josh multitasks as he drives me back to his place in Vermont. Don't try this at home, kids! Click to enlarge.

From a recent photo safari in eastern Nebraska. About as close to an elk as I've ever been! Click to enlarge.

Today's photo is a candid of a man in Leeds, England. Click to enlarge.

I have a photo essay in one of my favorite mags this month --
JPG magazine. Pretty exciting -- a lot of great stuff gets put into JPG, and it definately feels good to share the same pages with a whole host of excellent photographers.

Yes, this is an actual sign seen at the Kearney, Nebraska Walmart on a Sunday night. No word if this also applies to alcohol, though we were tempted to bring a bottle up to checkout and find out.
BTW, there were actually two of these signs on the same shelf, about 10 feet apart. Here's the other one:
