Today's photo was shot on a lark while me and my friend Josh were zipping down a Vermont highway after an evening of looking for (and eventually finding) moose. Bit abstracty, but I like it. I used a longish exposure and set my elbow on his Prius' center console so the vibration would translate up to the camera. Click to enlarge.

This is a little bit of lens trickery. These stairs were pretty steep -- but nowhere near as steep as my wide angle lens would suggest. :) I shot this at High Falls Gorge in the Adirondacks of New York. Nice little stop-by-the-road, but in all honesty, I'm not sure why they charge such a high fee to visit the place. Click to enlarge.

I have no idea what this is all about -- but we came across these three androids in Woodstock, Vermont. Glancing at Flickr, apparently they're a fixture of sorts in the town. Click to enlarge

There isn't much skill in taking a picture like this -- nature does all the work. Click to enlarge.

Today's shot is from Whiteface Mountain in the Adirondacks of New York. We came across a great clearing off the highway and snapped some shots of the clouds scraping the peaks. This pictures makes me wish I still had a motorcycle! Click to enlarge.

I'm pretty ignorant about horticulture. Anyone know what kind of plant this is? I found it growing along the banks of a lake in Vermont. Click to enlarge.

Reeds and leaves in a lake in rural Vermont. I love nature abstracts. :) Click to enlarge.

A rainstorm rolls into Lake Placid, New York. This was shot this past October. Autumn in the northeast is quite dramatic! Click to enlarge.

Whiteface Mountain in the Adirondacks of New York -- beautifully cloudtopped this past October. Click to enlarge.

Both me and my friend
Josh saw this about to happen as we wandered about a lake in the Adirondacks of New York, and both of us pretty much bolted to the edge of the lake and held our cameras up, waiting for the light to do this. Talk about right place at the right time! Click to enlarge.

A night shot of Big Ben from the winter of '07. From all the articles I've read, I get the feeling if I were taking this picture today, I'd be
stopped by police. :) Click to enlarge.

I'll be honest with the readers of this blog: I have absolutely no idea why I like this picture. It's muddled, it's dark, and it's boringly composed. But for some reason I like it. This was shot atop Mount Mansfield in Vermont this past October. Click to enlarge.
