Sparse Shopping
Shot this last year in Leeds, UK -- this is the Corn Exchange building. It's no longer a retail outlet; today it's a restaurant. Yes, the whole damn thing. They were going to lease it out to multiple customers, but they could only find one. So until they find more, the whole thing belongs to one guy. Must feel like eating in a stadium!

Sweet!
I just noticed (via that deluge of comments) that my other blog, The Big Storm Picture was selected by Google as today's Blog of Note. Thanks, Google!

Derwent Water
Our friend Keith shows my wife Derwent Water in Cumbria, UK. This was an excellent overlook, even if it was a bit of a blustery and stormy day. England is a country of surprisingly diverse landscapes, considering its compact size. My wife will probably kill me for posting a wide angle photo with her at the edge of the frame. ;) Click to enlarge.

JPG Issue 19
I have a photo essay in one of my favorite mags this month -- JPG magazine. Pretty exciting -- a lot of great stuff gets put into JPG, and it definately feels good to share the same pages with a whole host of excellent photographers.

Actual sign seen at a Nebraska Walmart
Yes, this is an actual sign seen at the Kearney, Nebraska Walmart on a Sunday night. No word if this also applies to alcohol, though we were tempted to bring a bottle up to checkout and find out.
BTW, there were actually two of these signs on the same shelf, about 10 feet apart. Here's the other one:
