Sixth Sense

I dunno what it is, but sometimes when I'm shooting a candid of someone, they get a sixth sense and turn around and look at me. This woman was a good 50 yards away and had no idea I was pointing a camera at her. And then... :) Click to enlarge.

I had seen the same effect, without cameras. Some people just "feel" when they are looked at.

I want to know why this happens. In a huge university dining hall full of people, if I find someone and stare at them long enough, they will eventually turn and look, even if staring at the back of their head.

Spooky. I want to see this effect scientifically proven, or at least shown to be statistically significant.
