I just received an email from my cousin in Lewellen nebr., the attachment was taken from Fark.com 'Ryans Blog' - that shows a gentleman's pictures of the ice storm taken in Nebr (which my father drove through). My dad had to stop at Grand Island for the night and then it took him forever to drive even past Kearney. He lives in Scottsbluff. I and my older sister live in the N. East and he had spent Christmas with us. When I called him and he said he couldn't believe the number of cars on the side of the road (and he used to be a newspaper journalist for 30 years, then a truck driver for a while) - I couldn't imagine how bad...I am from Grant, nebr. orig. (near Ogallala), I can only remember one time with ice almost as bad... you are an amazing photographer!

Hi! Thanks! Just a heads up, though -- all those awesome photos of the ice storm you saw are not shot by me, rather by a guy named "Mike Hollingshead". You can find all his stuff at extremeinstablility.com. :) I suspect that someone misattributed them, as this is the second comment I've received that mentions me having shot those photos.
